Our advertising program is essential to the ecology of our publication. Ad fees go directly to paying writers, which we do according to W.A.G.E. standards.
We are currently printing runs of 6,000 every three months. Our publication is distributed locally through galleries and art related businesses, providing a direct outlet to reaching a specific demographic with art related interests and concerns.

Dear Readers,
Thank you for being part of Carla’s first year in L.A. Over the past 4 issues and seasons, we have featured 374 L.A. based artists and 170 galleries. We supported local organizations by hosting launch parties at Human Resources, The Pit, Fahrenheit, and The Mandrake, and participated in a number of book fairs, including the L.A. Art Book Fair, Material Art Fair, and ArtBandini. All these endeavors helped us get to know many of you in person and we are excited to meet more of you in the future.
In order to continue the conversation around L.A.’s art community and grow in the coming year, I invite you to be part of Carla by donating to our reader-supported Issue 5, which will launch in July 2016 with a party at ARTBOOK @ Hauser Wirth & Schimmel. Your donations help us cover our city’s artistic production and report on L.A. artists showing in other parts of the world. Your generosity sustains our commitment to paying our excellent writers based on W.A.G.E. certified standards, and will also support printing, editing, and design fees required to create our free publication.
To make Issue 5 a reality, Carla aims to raise $5,000 by May 15. Donations of every level are welcomed and encouraged.
