OCHI is seeking a gallery intern for Winter / Spring of 2022.
Interns will gain hands on experience and expertise in all aspects of a contemporary art gallery. Responsibilities may include greeting visitors, light art handling, research, digital archive management, copyediting, running errands, general gallery maintenance, and administrative assistance—with special consideration for individual areas of interest. This is an ideal context to learn about galleries, planning and executing exhibitions, artist-gallery relations, and the contemporary art market.
Individuals should be highly-motivated, detail-oriented, and have strong communication and writing skills. Current students or recent graduates of art or art history programs as well as applicants with gallery, museum, or non-profit experiences are preferred. Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop. Filemaker Pro and ArtLogic experience is a plus.
